Thai Jets Target Cambodian Casino Amid Border Violence

Reports from the Khmer Times, together with several Thai outlets and the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), confirm that F‑16 jets allegedly struck a casino across the Cambodia–Thailand border during fresh clashes between the two countries.

According to RTAF statements, the casino—located in the Chong An Ma/Poipet border area—was being used by Cambodian forces as a drone base and hub for coordinating heavy weapons.

The air‑strike reportedly formed part of a wider response after Cambodian artillery and rocket fire hit Thai positions. The Thai military said it acted defensively to neutralize threats.

Meanwhile, Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence strongly condemned the attack, stating Cambodian forces did not return fire and calling the strike a breach of the ceasefire and recent peace agreement.

As the diplomatic fallout deepens, Cambodia has requested that the ASEAN Observers Team visit the site to investigate the incident and ensure transparency
