Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Finale: What the Finalists Are Dancing To and More
The excitement is building as Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) season 34 draws to a close, with the remaining finalists preparing to battle it out for the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. After weeks of intense competition, the final five couples will return to the ballroom one last time on Tuesday night to perform for the judges and the audience, in hopes of securing the season’s top prize.

The DWTS finale will be an action-packed evening, featuring a variety of exciting performances, including a “judges’ choice” dance, an instant dance, and a freestyle routine. The special event will also include multiple performances by past contestants, along with a unique opening number choreographed by Joey Pizzi.
What to Expect in the Season 34 Finale
For the finale, the five remaining couples will perform three dances each:
- Judges’ Choice Dance – A routine chosen by the judges that highlights each couple’s strengths.
- Instant Dance – A challenging routine in which couples will have to perform a dance to a song they’ve never rehearsed before, adding an extra level of excitement.
- Freestyle Routine – The most anticipated part of the finale, where each couple can showcase their creativity and dance to a song of their choice, pushing their limits.
In addition to the performances by the finalists, the night will feature an opening number choreographed by Joey Pizzi, set to “Never Can Say Goodbye” by the Communards. The ballroom will be buzzing with energy as all of the season 34 couples return to perform together, including an additional set of performances to “Sugar On My Tongue” by Tyler, The Creator, “Applause” by Lady Gaga, and “I Don’t Dance” by Alexander Jean.
A Special Performance by Season 33 Champs
As part of the festivities, season 33 DWTS champions Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson will return to the ballroom to perform a tango-inspired number set to “Tanguera” by Fabio Hager Sexteto. Their performance promises to be a highlight of the evening, showcasing the talent that earned them the mirrorball trophy last season.
What Songs Will the Finalists Dance To?
While the exact dance styles have yet to be revealed, the songs each finalist will perform to are a major part of the excitement. The music plays a huge role in setting the tone for the evening, and fans can expect a range of energetic, emotional, and show-stopping songs for the final performances.
The finale airs on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. ET, and will be simulcast live across both ABC and Disney+ in local time zones. For those who can’t catch the live broadcast, the episode will also be available the next day on Hulu.
