SpaceX Launches 29 Starlink Satellites From Cape Canaveral

Cape Canaveral, Florida — SpaceX sent another batch of Starlink satellites into orbit Thursday night, launching its Starlink 10-36 mission aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida’s Space Coast.

The rocket lifted off at 8:41 p.m. EST from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, carrying 29 Starlink satellites destined for low-Earth orbit.

Under clear evening skies, the Falcon 9 arced over the Atlantic, its nine Merlin engines illuminating the coastline as spectators watched from beaches, neighborhoods and waterfront restaurants across Brevard County.

Minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first-stage booster separated and began its controlled descent. The booster successfully landed on a SpaceX drone ship stationed off the coast of the Bahamas — marking its second recovery at sea.

The successful launch adds to SpaceX’s expanding Starlink constellation, designed to provide high-speed internet service worldwide, particularly in remote and underserved regions.

With Thursday’s mission, SpaceX continues its rapid launch cadence from Florida, reinforcing Cape Canaveral’s role as one of the world’s busiest spaceports.

Another night on the Space Coast ended the now-familiar way: a streak of light across the sky, followed by the distant rumble of engines — and another step in the growing network orbiting hundreds of miles above Earth.
