Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Holds Telephone Talks with Cambodian, Thai PMs Amid Border Dispute

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim engaged in a series of telephone discussions with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on December 9, 2025, as tensions continue to rise over the ongoing border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand.

In a statement following the calls, Prime Minister Anwar expressed his appreciation for the willingness of both leaders to engage in dialogue, stressing the importance of continued negotiations to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
